Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using GoalBond you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

GoalBond is a social fitness accountability app that pairs users with partners for daily check-in streaks using live photo verification.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use GoalBond. By using the app you confirm you meet this requirement.

4. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

5. User Content

By uploading photos or messages to GoalBond you:

• Confirm you own the rights to the content
• Grant GoalBond a limited license to display the content to your partner
• Agree not to upload illegal, harmful, offensive, or misleading content
• Understand that GoalBond is not responsible for content uploaded by other users

6. Copyright and Content Removal

GoalBond respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content on GoalBond infringes your copyright, contact us at support@goalbond.app with:

• Description of the copyrighted work
• Location of the infringing content
• Your contact information
• A statement of good faith belief

We will review all valid complaints and remove infringing content promptly.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Upload fake or misleading check-in photos
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Attempt to manipulate streaks fraudulently
• Reverse engineer or copy the app
• Use the app for any illegal purpose
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions

8. Subscriptions and Payments

• Pricing is displayed within the app and may change from time to time
• Subscriptions are billed through Google Play or Apple App Store
• One-time purchases are processed by Google Play, Apple App Store, or RevenueCat
• Refunds are subject to Google Play and Apple App Store refund policies
• You can cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account settings

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms without notice. You may delete your account at any time from within the app.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

GoalBond is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that streaks will be maintained in all circumstances including technical failures.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoalBond and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of streaks, data loss, or service interruption.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of GoalBond shall first be attempted to be resolved through good faith negotiation by contacting us at support@goalbond.app. If unresolved after 30 days, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration under the rules of the Canadian Arbitration Association. Note that some consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction may affect the enforceability of this clause. You agree to resolve disputes individually and not as part of a class action.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
